UHMWPE Hose, also known as ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene hose, is a flexible pipe mainly made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with a molecular weight of over 1.5 million.
Its main structure is mostly made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene as the inner layer, and some models add high-strength synthetic fiber woven mesh or metal wire winding layer on the outer layer to enhance pressure resistance. Both ends are equipped with corresponding joints to ensure sealing.
It features extremely strong wear resistance (4 to 7 times that of ordinary steel pipes and over 10 times that of rubber), excellent chemical corrosion resistance (resistant to most acids, alkalis, salts and organic solvents), good flexibility, low friction coefficient (0.05 to 0.1), strong impact resistance (still performing well at low temperatures), and good non-stickiness.
In agricultural production, UHMWPE hoses can be used in irrigation systems to transport water and solutions of pesticides and fertilizers, etc
In mining, UHMWPE hoses are often used to transport media containing a large amount of solid particles, such as pulp and tailings. Due to its extremely high wear resistance, it can withstand the long-term erosion of hard particles in the pulp. Compared with traditional steel pipes and rubber hoses, it has a longer service life and greatly reduces the pipeline maintenance cost of the mine.
