SAE R14 PTFE hose is a special conveying hose produced in accordance with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) 100R14 standard. Its core feature lies in the inner tube being based on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and combined with a multi-layer structure design. It is specially designed for conveying corrosive, high-temperature or high-purity media. It holds an irreplaceable position in the field of precision industry.
PTFE inner tube: As the core contact layer of the hose, PTFE material is the key to its performance.
Reinforcing layer: It is woven from 304 or 316 stainless steel wire. Some high-pressure models adopt a double-layer woven structure.
Outer protective layer: Usually made of stainless steel wire woven mesh or weather-resistant synthetic rubber.
Ultra-wide temperature range adaptability: It can operate stably within an extreme temperature range of -60 ℃ to 260℃, and is one of the few types of hoses that can withstand both deep cold and high temperatures simultaneously.
High cleanliness: The PTFE inner tube does not adsorb the medium and complies with hygiene standards such as FDA and USP. It will not release any impurities into the conveyed fluid, meeting the strict requirements for medium purity in the pharmaceutical, food, electronics and other industries.
Fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals: It is used for transporting strong acids (such as 98% concentrated sulfuric acid), strong alkalis (such as concentrated sodium hydroxide solution), high-purity solvents (such as anhydrous ethanol), etc.
Food and Medical: Food-grade SAE R14 PTFE hoses can convey high-temperature syrup, edible oil, fruit juice, etc. The inner tube is odorless, does not breed bacteria, and can withstand high-temperature steam and chemical cleaners in the CIP (In-situ Cleaning) process.
