Multipurpose Hose

The Multipurpose Hose, as a flexible conveying pipe that can be flexibly adapted to various scenarios, holds an important position in various industries due to its wide applicability.


The core definition of a multi-purpose hose lies in its "versatility". It is not specifically designed for a single medium or working condition, but through material combination and structural optimization, it achieves compatibility with various media such as water, air, light oils, and chemical diluents, while also adapting to different working conditions including low-pressure transportation, suction operations, and outdoor exposure. Its design concept centers on "one tube for multiple uses", balancing performance and cost, reducing users' reliance on dedicated hoses, and enhancing the efficiency of equipment utilization.


Structural Stratification and Material Properties


  • Inner tube: As the layer in direct contact with the medium, the material selection directly determines compatibility

  • Reinforcing layer: Determines the balance between the strength and flexibility of the hose.

  • Outer coating: It provides external protection, and the material must meet the requirements of wear resistance and weather resistance.


Key Performance Parameters

  • Medium compatibility: Covers neutral liquids (water, coolant), gases (air, inert gases), mild chemicals (diluted acids and bases), and non-corrosive oils (lubricating oils), but is prohibited for strong solvents (such as gasoline, acetone) or high-concentration acids and bases.

  • Temperature range: Conventional model -20 ℃ to 60℃, EPDM material can be extended to -40 ℃ to 100℃, meeting the requirements of winter outdoor operations or industrial hot water transportation.

  • Pressure rating: Working pressure 0.6-2.5MPa, burst pressure 3-4 times the working pressure. The steel wire reinforced type has better pressure resistance than the fiber reinforced type.

  • Bending radius: It is usually 5 to 10 times the pipe diameter. The bending radius of fiber-reinforced type is even smaller (for example, the bending radius of 25mm pipe diameter is ≤150mm), which is suitable for operation in narrow Spaces.

  • Length specifications: Common ones are 10m, 20m, and 50m. Longer sizes can be customized. The joints are mostly quick interfaces (such as G thread and snap-on type), which is convenient for quick installation.
