Plaster placement rubber hose

Plaster Placement Rubber Hose, also known as gypsum conveying rubber hose, is a special type of rubber hose designed for the transmission scenarios of gypsum slurry (a high-viscosity mixture containing gypsum powder, water and additives), and is widely used in fields such as building decoration, gypsum product production, and medical gypsum fixation. The core design objective is to solve the transmission problem of gypsum slurry, which is characterized by high viscosity, easy deposition and strong wear on the pipe wall, ensuring smooth slurry transportation without blockage. At the same time, it can withstand slurry friction and chemical erosion, and meet the fluidity and process requirements of gypsum construction.


Structure and material

  • Inner rubber layer: As the key layer in direct contact with the gypsum slurry, it usually adopts nitrile rubber (NBR) or chloroprene rubber (CR) with high wear resistance and low friction coefficient. Some high-end products will add silicon carbide or nano-ceramic particles to enhance wear resistance.

  • Reinforcing layer: According to the pressure requirements for gypsum transportation (typically 0.3-1.0MPa), the reinforcing layer is mostly made of 1-2 layers of high-strength polyester fiber braided or spiral steel wire wound structure.

  • Outer rubber layer: Mainly made of a blend of weather-resistant and wear-resistant natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), some products add anti-ultraviolet and anti-aging components.


Advantage

  • High wear resistance and anti-clogging property: The highly wear-resistant material and smooth surface of the inner adhesive layer are the core advantages in dealing with gypsum slurry. When gypsum powder particles (with a particle size usually ranging from 50 to 200 mesh) flow inside the pipe, they are less likely to cause severe wear to the pipe wall. Meanwhile, the smooth surface reduces particle deposition, which can prevent the pipe from narrowing, the flow rate from decreasing, or even clogging caused by deposition. (In regular use, Only 1 to 2 simple flushes per week are needed to keep the pipeline unobstructed.

  • Fluidity suitable for high-viscosity media: The viscosity of gypsum slurry can reach 500-1000 CP, which belongs to high-viscosity fluid. The smoothness of the inner rubber and the flexibility design of the hose body of this hose can reduce the flow resistance of high-viscosity slurry.

  • Chemical resistance and wide temperature range compatibility: The gypsum slurry is weakly alkaline (pH 7.5-8.5), and the nitrile rubber or chloroprene rubber in the inner rubber layer can withstand weak alkali erosion for a long time without the risk of swelling or cracking.

  • Good flexibility and ease of operation: Compared with hard steel pipes or PVC pipes, this rubber hose has excellent flexibility and can flexibly bypass obstacles at construction sites, improving construction efficiency.
