PVC Suction Hose, also known as polyvinyl chloride suction hose, is a flexible pipeline specially designed for the "negative pressure fluid extraction" scenario. Its core function is to efficiently transport clear water, sewage or liquids containing a small amount of impurities from water sources such as water pools, Wells, water tanks and rivers.
Inner adhesive layer: As the inner layer in direct contact with the fluid, it is made of high-smoothness PVC material. Some products add anti-sticking modifiers.
Reinforcing layer: This is the core structure for resisting negative pressure and determines the hose's anti-collapse capability. It is mainly divided into two categories:
Fiber-reinforced layer: It is woven from 1-2 layers of polyester or nylon fibers, with a negative pressure resistance range of -0.6 bar to -0.8 bar. It is suitable for shallow water areas (≤5 meters deep) and short-distance (≤50 meters) water absorption scenarios, such as shallow well irrigation in farmland and water change in household fish tanks.
Steel wire reinforcement layer: Made of spirally wound galvanized steel wire or stainless steel wire, it has a stronger negative pressure resistance, reaching -0.9 bar to -1 bar, and can meet the water absorption requirements of deep water areas (5-15 meters deep) and long distances (50-100 meters), such as the drainage of mine water accumulation and deep well irrigation. The steel wire layer simultaneously enhances the hose's tensile and expansion resistance, preventing the pipe body from deforming during pressure fluctuations.
Outer rubber layer: Made of wear-resistant and weather-resistant PVC as the base material, some products add ultraviolet absorbers (such as benzotriazole) and anti-aging agents.
Strong negative pressure resistance: This is the core difference between PVC suction hoses and ordinary PVC water delivery hoses. The working negative pressure of the conventional product is stable at -0.6 bar to -1 bar, and the burst negative pressure (the critical value for pipe collapse) is 3 to 4 times the working negative pressure. This ensures that during the water pumping process, even if a high negative pressure is formed inside the pipe, the reinforcing layer can support the shape of the pipe, preventing it from collapsing or flattening, ensuring continuous and smooth water flow and avoiding the interruption of water suction operations due to pipe deformation.
Lightness and ease of operation: The density of PVC material is 1.3-1.5g/cm³, which is much lower than that of rubber (1.8-2.0g/cm³) and metal (steel 7.8g/cm³). Its lightness enables it to be carried and laid by a single person, making it particularly suitable for scenarios that require frequent movement, such as agriculture and municipal services.
Basic corrosion resistance and weather resistance: The conventional PVC water-absorbing hose can withstand weak acid and alkali environments with a pH value of 4 to 9, such as fertilizer dilution in agricultural irrigation and light pollutants in municipal sewage. It does not rust or corrode, and is more suitable for humid and impurity scenarios compared to metal pipes. The temperature resistance range is from -10 ℃ to + 60℃, and it can withstand most climatic conditions.
Easy to maintain: Daily maintenance is simple, requiring no complex cleaning or lubrication. Only regular checks on the integrity of the reinforcing layer are needed. The usage threshold is low, making it suitable for small and medium-sized users (such as farmers and small factories).
